The primary concentration of the law firm is in the area of real estate law. We are particularly experienced in representing buyers and sellers in the purchase and sale of real estate, ranging from the first time buyer to large subdivision and commercial developers. We have provided closing services for numerous financial lending institutions, credit unions and mortgage companies. All title examination services are performed by our staff paralegals. We are agents for Stewart Title Insurance Company and Old Republic Insurance Company.
Attorney Robert J. Mather can also assist you with permitting issues with all of the local boards and agencies in the Towns of Middleboro and Lakeville, with a special expertise in the areas of zoning and subdivision control law.
Attorney Susan E. Callan is experienced in estate planning including wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, health care proxies, declarations of homestead, and has a special focus in the area of elder law planning.
The firm is also qualified to assist you in all probate matters, including guardianships, conservatorships, and estate administration, which is the court proceeding that concludes the legal and financial matters of the estate of a deceased person. The process includes the allowance of a will or appointment of a legal representative when there is no will, and the collection and distribution of the deceased's property to his heirs.
